According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 76 million Americans (approximately one in four) get sick from food borne illnesses each year (300,000+ are hospitalized, 5,000 die). Also according to the CDC, 34% of all documented cases of food borne illness are directly caused by poor hand hygiene.
